As part of this project, together with the school’s students, volunteers and parents, we planted 170 seedlings in the school yard, at the same time devoting ourselves to the decoration of that space as well. Before the actual implementation of the action, a short training session was held on planting tree seedlings and lectures on the importance of trees for our environment. During the planting, the children expressed great satisfaction because many of them planted a tree for the first time. The positive impact of these activities is also noticeable among the teaching staff, especially due to the lack of opportunities for similar teaching methods within the formal education system. They point out that non-formal education projects like this have a significant contribution for children, especially in the age of modern electronic devices and the Internet.
